Greenfield Milling opens flagship facility in Utah
The mill will supply flour to Campbell’s Pepperidge Farm plant under a 20-year agreement.

Utah Flour Milling LLC (d.b.a. Greenfield Milling) has opened its flagship flour milling facility in Richmond, UT. The new mill is designed to supply flour directly to Campbell’s Pepperidge Farm plant under a 20-year supply agreement. The facility uses a dedicated pneumatic system and supports sustainability initiatives.
Greenfield Milling’s partnership with Nippn Corporation of Japan, which holds a minority equity stake, supports the company’s goal of building a national footprint through strategic alliances.
Founded in 2022 by John Mason and Bryan Ledgerwood, Greenfield Milling focuses on mix-integrated flour production for retail, snack, and bakery markets. The Richmond facility has a daily capacity of 7,500 cwts and can process hard wheat, soft wheat, whole wheat, and organic flours. Packaging options range from 2–50 lb. bags, with multiple shipping formats available for nationwide distribution.
Greenfield Milling plans to expand operations by leasing select assets from Panhandle Milling in Hereford, TX. This expansion will support production of ingredients and mixes for tortillas, pizza dough, pancakes, and dry bake mixes in conventional, organic, and gluten-free formats. The agreement is supported by a multi-year supply contract with a national bakery and restaurant manufacturer.
Additional expansion is planned for the Utah facility in 2026, including advanced blending and warehousing automation to meet growing demand for bakery ingredients and mixes.
Greenfield Milling’s strategy includes forming partnerships, expanding product offerings aligned with consumer trends, and optimizing operations through capital management. The company aims to grow market share and establish a sustainable foundation for long-term growth.
