Genius Gourmet expands distribution of protein snacks
The Skippy-inspired bars are now available at H-E-B and Central Market.

Following the successful introduction of its three Skippy-inspired protein snack items earlier this year, Genius Gourmet is building momentum as the lineup gains traction across key grocery retailers and expands into the convenience channel, the brand says.
The Skippy-inspired lineup includes:
- Genius Gourmet Skippy Crispy Protein Bar: a modern take on the classic crispy treat, made with Skippy Natural Peanut Butter Spread and delivering 12 g of protein (24% DV) with a crunchy texture per serving.
- Genius Gourmet Skippy-Inspired Protein Nut Roll Bar: Combines crunchy peanuts, smooth peanut butter flavor, and a caramel-style coating with 11 g of protein (18% DV) and zero grams of added sugar per serving.
- Genius Gourmet Skippy Wafer Protein Bar: Features crispy wafer layers and bold peanut butter flavor made with all-natural Skippy Peanut Butter Spread, delivering 15 grams of protein (30% DV) and zero grams of added sugar per serving.
Together, the lineup delivers nostalgic Skippy peanut butter-inspired flavor across multiple textures and formats, designed to meet modern consumer demand for protein-forward snacks without sacrificing taste, the brand adds.
Genius Gourmet has recently expanded distribution of its Skippy-inspired protein snacks at H-E-B and Central Market, reinforcing strong consumer demand and continued retailer confidence in the brand’s indulgent-meets-functional positioning, it notes.
In parallel, Genius Gourmet is accelerating growth in the convenience channel through its expanding partnership with EG America, bringing Skippy-inspired protein snacks to more on-the-go consumers nationwide.
“The response to the Skippy-inspired items has been incredibly encouraging,” says Lance Rankin, CEO of Genius Gourmet. “What we’re seeing now is validation—expanded distribution, strong retail engagement, and real traction across both grocery and convenience.”
Each item in the Skippy-inspired lineup was developed to bridge familiar flavor with everyday functionality, offering consumers a range of snack experiences—from crispy treats to nut rolls to layered wafers—built for different occasions and retail environments, the brand says.
