Genius Gourmet, seller of better-for-you snacks, has announced the debut of its newest product line: Genius Gourmet Protein Puffs, launching in Buffalo and Cheddar Cheese. 

The launch comes just ahead of the brand’s six-year anniversary on November 28, marking a major milestone for the company.

Genius Gourmet was founded by Lance Rankin, former co-founder of Premier Protein, whose vision helped ignite one of the biggest protein movements in modern grocery, it says. Six years later, Genius Gourmet continues to build on that foundation, pushing into new categories with functional snacks.

“Lance set the tone early: flavor first, function always,” says Josh Christensen, VP of Marketing. “We’re proud to honor that legacy as we expand into more innovative products that deliver on what today’s consumers expect.”

The new Genius Gourmet Protein Puffs were designed for families, athletes, and flavor-driven snackers who want better options than what the category has historically offered, the company notes. Each serving provides 15 g of protein in a gluten-free and GMO-free format.  

“Our Protein Puffs hit that perfect intersection of taste and performance,” adds Christensen. “Healthy snacks shouldn’t taste like a compromise—and these don’t.”

Protein Puffs are now available in HEB stores and online at GeniusGourmet.com and Amazon.com, with plans to expand in Q1 2026.
