Rawcology reformulates its granola snack bites
The company is relaunching the snack as Gut To Go.

Rawcology, the Canadian, family-run snack company known for its organic, allergy-friendly granola, has relaunched its Granola Snack Bites as Gut To Go—a reformulated version of the snack, now with added apple cider vinegar for enhanced digestive support, alongside refreshed, rebranded packaging.
Gut To Go Probiotic Snack Bites (formerly Granola Snack Bites with Probiotics) are available now in Apple Cinnamon, Berry Burst, and Chocolate, as well as a Variety Pack, at rawcology.com and participating retailers and rolling out on the shelves at Whole Foods, Healthy Planet, Loblaws, and Walmart in the coming year.
The snack bites have long featured probiotics as a core ingredient. With this update, Rawcology has enhanced the recipe with apple cider vinegar, a functional ingredient traditionally used to support digestion, while keeping the same organic, gluten-free oats, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and low-sugar profile its customers already know. The result is available in three flavors: Apple Cinnamon, Berry Burst, and Chocolate, each delivering 1 billion live probiotic cultures, 5–8 g of plant-based protein, and 5 g of sugar per serving.
Along with the new recipe comes a new name and look. What was previously sold as Granola Snack Bites with Probiotics is now Gut To Go, packaged under the brand's new tagline, “Gut Health, Made Delicious.” The rebrand is designed to make the product's digestive-health benefits clearer on shelf, while keeping the same taste and format loyal customers already love, the brand says.
“This snack was already a fan favorite; we just weren't telling its full story. It deserved a glow-up: a name that's crystal clear and packaging with some real energy behind it, so shoppers get it in two seconds flat, great taste, real gut health benefits,” says Megan Loach Tomulka, CMO at Rawcology.
Gut health has reportedly become one of the fastest-growing priorities in food and wellness, as consumers increasingly link digestion to energy, immunity, and overall wellbeing. Rawcology's existing Granola Snack Bites already contained probiotics, but the team saw an opportunity to strengthen the product's digestive-support credentials further by adding apple cider vinegar to the recipe—without changing the taste and texture, the company says. The rebrand to Gut To Go makes that functional benefit easier for shoppers to identify at a glance, it adds.
“Our gut and microbiome affect so much of how we feel every day, energy, mood, all of it. This snack already had the great taste down, so we asked ourselves how we could make it work even harder for people. Adding apple cider vinegar gave us that extra layer of digestive support," says Tara Tomulka, founder and CEO, Rawcology.
Founded in 2017 by holistic nutritionist Tara Tomulka alongside her sister Laura Powadiuk and sister-in-law Megan Loach Tomulka, Rawcology began as a health food blog before growing into a national and international brand now available in more than 1,500 retail locations across Canada, including Costco in the West Canada, Whole Foods, Sobeys, Healthy Planet, Loblaws, and more. The Gut To Go relaunch reflects the company's ongoing focus on refining its existing products in response to what customers are asking for, alongside its track record of new product development.
"This is what our mission has always been about: sharing the power of plants and showing people that food really can be life-changing. We're excited to bring that to more people, in more places, than ever before," says Tomulka.
