SK Food Launches Supergrains

SK Food International introduces identity preserved, certified-organic and conventional non-GMO precooked amaranth and quinoa flakes to its extensive line of premium quality ingredients.




SK Food International introduces identity preserved, certified-organic and conventional non-GMO precooked amaranth and quinoa flakes to its extensive line of premium quality ingredients. These gluten-free and kosher flakes are custom milled from heirloom grains. Amaranth and quinoa are both commonly known as “supergrains,” each touting high levels of protein, in addition to many other health benefits.

“We are pleased to offer these new ingredients,” says Jennifer Tesch, sales and marketing director for the Fargo, N.D.-based ingredient supplier. “Our pre-cooked flakes are very healthy, whole grain products that easily incorporate into many food applications.”

Amaranth and quinoa flakes can be used in a variety of product applications, including cereals, tortillas, snack foods, baby food, flatbreads, baking mixes and energy bars. Additionally, these flakes come in 50-lb. bags and bulk totes.
