General Mills names new president of Bakeries & Foodservice
General Mills names David Dudick as upcoming president of the General Mills Bakeries & Foodservice business segment. Dudick succeeds current president John Machuzick, who will retire from the company on Aug. 1.
Dudick has more than 30 years of experience with General Mills. After joining the company in 1979, he served in multiple manager and director roles for the sales organization before being promoted to vice president in July 2004. His most recent position was senior vice president, sales, U.S. channels, in which he led the company's business with supercenters, drug and discount, club, and dollar stores, according to the announcement. He has a degree in business administration from St. Joseph's University and a law degree from Temple University.
"I look forward to leading the continued expansion of General Mills' great brand portfolio in away-from-home channels," says Dudick. "We will continue to leverage the division's cross-functional expertise and world-class capabilities to add value for our customers."
Machuzick is set to retire following a 34-year career with General Mills. He spent nine years as president of bakeries and foodservice and has served a board member of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association for the past seven years.
