X-ray system

Loma Systems’ X⁵ x-ray inspection system is redesigned to deliver maximum uptime at round-the-clock manufacturing sites, while identifying and rejecting the smallest contaminants. Rounded, sloping surfaces prevent food particles and washdown droplets from accumulating on the system’s surfaces, while impermeable seals prevent water from entering the x-ray cabinet. The new tubular framework, made from 304-grade stainless steel, is designed for easy cleaning and withstands harsh working conditions. A quick-release mechanism allows operators to quickly change the conveyor belt, which comes in 300, 500 and 600 mm to suit individual requirements.

Food box liner

Amcor Flexibles introduces Amcor Vodex Generation II, a barrier liner for bag-in-box foods. The result of five years of research to meet demand for a successor to the original Vodex, Amcor Vodex Generation II retains all the values of the original Amcor Vodex, such as barrier against mineral oil hydrocarbon (MOH) migration, recyclability, breathability, aroma and flavor retention. It also offers an improved moisture barrier for longer product shelf-life, ease of opening and better packaging machine performance. The new film can be tailored to specific product needs.

Scales

Adam Equipment adds two high-readability models to its line of Warrior washdown scales. Like other Warrior scales, the new models are useful in applications where high precision and washdown capability are required, such as food processing and commercial baking. The Warrior WBK70aH provides readability of 0.002 lb./1 g. and has a capacity of 70 lb./32 kg. The Warrior WFK165aH features readability of 0.002 lb./1 g. and has a capacity of 165 lb./75 kg. The scales’ 304-grade stainless-steel base, loadcell, top pan, pillar and indicator are IP66 rated, meaning they are protected in dusty or wet areas. Both models come with a rechargeable battery.
