Dynamic Conveyor redesigns the leg supports for its DynaClean food conveyor systems. A one-dimensional design replaces the previous tubular design. Made from 304 stainless steel, the new leg supports facilitate easy cleaning and eliminate the possibility of hidden bacteria buildup on the conveyors. In addition, they meet FDA, USDA, National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and International and Baking Industry Sanitation Standards Committee (BISSC) standards.

BioFlex Pack, a biodegradable laminate for dry products from Ampac, consists of components made from fully biodegradable materials, including the adhesive. Developed by the company’s product development group in Kirchberg, Switzerland, the laminate material is compostable according to European regulation EN 13432 and U.S. ASTM D6400 and requires little to no curing time. BioFlex Pack is available as printed roll stock and premade pouches. Suggested packaging applications include dry grains and wholesome or natural products.

Kason Corp. adds an ultra-low-profile, 40-in.-diameter Flo-Tru Vibroscreen sifter with a flat dust cover to its line. Designed to fit into tight spots between storage and process equipment, the model employs two imbalanced-weight gyratory motors mounted on opposing exterior sidewalls, instead of one motor positioned beneath the screening chamber, significantly reducing its overall height. It can be installed above or below storage vessels, bulk bag and drum unloaders, bag-dump stations, blenders/mixers and other process equipment with minimum alteration to existing layouts. The SONO-1000 from Bindicator, a Venture Measurement company, is a single-tank, ultrasonic sensor that measures free-flowing solids, such as powders and granules, in vessels up to 98 ft. high. According to the company, the unit is simple to install and start up, regardless of the amount of material in the vessel, and suitable for a wide range of materials. It comes with a programmable display and is available in AC and DC versions.
