Label check station
Company: Mettler-Toledo CI-Vision Inspection, Aurora, IL
Equipment Snapshot: The latest addition to Mettler-Toledo CI-Vision Inspection’s portfolio—the Label Check Station—prints and automatically verifies up to 500 high-quality, product-specific labels per minute. The system combines a printing module with a high-resolution camera and a reject system for faulty labels. The printing module contains a thermal-transfer printer that precisely applies high-contrast ink to every label. Once the labels are printed, a high-resolution camera checks them for legibility, completeness and other quality factors. The LCS processes numerous different label formats. A robust housing with a steel-tube frame protects components from dust and contamination, and has two large doors to facilitate cleaning and maintenance work. The LCS is also available as a compact table-top solution.
