Equipment Snapshot: Rovema North America, a subsidiary of Rovema GmbH, has introduced the BVR 230 VFFS bagger, a continuous, vertical form-fill-seal machine designed for the needs of the snack food industry. The model features a rotating sealing tool, an integrated weigher that’s mechanically and electronically integrated into the system, and a mechanical, separately-driven cutting knife. The BVR 230 can produce up to 180 pillow bags per minute and achieve perfect bag-seal quality with a wide spectrum of film qualities, according to the company. It’s also user-friendly and has a small footprint, integrated control cabinet and touch-panel HMI.
