Grupo Bimbo to acquire East Balt Bakeries
East Balt Bakeries recently announced that their owners, One Equity Partners, signed a definitive agreement to sell East Balt Bakeries to Grupo Bimbo S.A.B de CV. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2017, once regulatory approvals are obtained.
East Balt is an excellent fit with Grupo Bimbo, the largest baker globally. Grupo Bimbo’s demonstrated commitment to the bakery category, complementary global footprint and unique asset base provides a strong platform to support customer’s needs.
