BEMA recently announced the promotion of Emily Bowers to senior director, education & operations. In her two years with BEMA, Emily has grown her contribution to the organization considerably.
As director of education & professional development she was influential in the sales and delivery of the BEMA-U educational program portfolio. Emily oversaw all developmental and operational aspects of BEMA’s education programs, served as BEMA’s spokesperson throughout the industry, and worked closely with member companies to deliver customized training solutions. Under her direction, BEMA-U has introduced innovative course offerings to the baking industry that have provided added great value to many companies.
In addition to maintaining her primary focus on BEMA-U, Emily has shown an exemplary commitment to BEMA and its staff in the areas of human resources, business operations, and strategic planning. In her new role, she will continue her work in these areas and to work in conjunction with the Board on the implementation of strategic initiatives and special projects. Emily’s involvement in the operational leadership of BEMA will benefit the association as BEMA strives to achieve the goals set by its board and members.
