Aldi is now opening stores with in-store bakeries.

The Aldi store at 451 N. Randall Rd., Batavia, IL, which was recently relocated, has an in-store bakery, and it also prominently features its produce, much of which is organic. 

With Aldi's normally-low prices, offering fresh bakery items should only help increase the store's popularity. 

The relocated store, which is 3,000 square feet larger than its predecessor, includes a bakery that includes products baked fresh daily, in-store. Customers can choose the products they want and put them into a bakery bag or box, and the self-service case is then refilled from the rear production area.
