Johnson & Wales University hosts International Symposium on Bread, April 26-28, 2018
Puratos is proud to be, for the second time, the presenting sponsor of Johnson & Wales University’s annual International Symposium on Bread. The 2018 event is taking place at the JWU Charlotte Campus from Thursday, April 26, 2018 till Saturday, April 28, 2018. This forum will unite influential scholars, authors, agriculturists, historians, media, millers and bakers from across the U.S. and Europe.
The Symposium will be curated by Johnson & Wales faculty member and noted author, Peter Reinhart, who wrote The Bread Baker’s Apprentice and 10 other books on bread. “Last year, some of the biggest names in the industry gathered to initiate an important conversation about the issues and opportunities we’re facing. This year we plan to take it to the next level,” explained Peter Reinhart, JWU faculty member, noted author and Symposium director.
This year’s Symposium will feature two optional bread labs on day three for those seeking a hands-on educational experience with leading bakers.
