Introduced: April 2018

Distribution: National

Suggested Retail Price: $1.69-$5.99

Product Snapshot: Popcornopolis, the family-owned and operated gourmet popcorn company, is launching new packaging for their consumer line of popcorn offered in grocery stores. Known for the Cone, Popcornopolis’ iconic cone-shaped bags were originally showcased in point-of-purchase displays, and the new packaging will feature the cones on the front of the package.

“Our new packaging prominently features our cone’s proud legacy, reinforcing our brand,” says Wally Arnold, owner and mayor of Popcornopolis.  “This bold red line up stands tall amongst a sea of competitors and features some of our most favorite flavors.”

Popcornopolis has created this new packaging so that it can easily fit on product shelves, overcoming an initial challenge faced by the cone. Flavors offered in the new bags are:

  • Butter Up!
  • Caramel Corn
  • Fifty-Fifty
  • Frosted Kettle
  • Nearly Naked
  • Organic Kettle Corn
  • Organic Nearly Naked
  • White Cheddar
  • Zebra Popcorn

The new product packaging is set to be offered to consumers in Safeway/Albertson’s stores in Seattle, Portland, Northern and Southern California, Phoenix, Denver, and United in Texas, starting May 7. Additionally, the bags will be sold in Gelson’s and Bristol Farms throughout Los Angeles at the beginning of May.

The product packages will be offered in the following sizes:

Everyday Varieties - Grocery Bags:

  • Zebra Popcorn – 10.5 oz SRP $5.99
  • Frosted Kettle – 9 oz SRP $5.99
  • Caramel Corn – 9.5 oz SRP $4.99
  • White Cheddar – 4 oz SRP $4.99
  • Fifty-Fifty – 6 oz SRP $4.99
  • Nearly Naked – 4.5 oz SRP $3.99
