Doran Scales has announced the hiring of Mark Kuchuris, an accomplished executive in food service and supply chain management, to serve as vice president of business development – Central region.

Mark joins Doran as the company is expanding its line of scales and connectivity software—delivering comprehensive weighing solutions designed to drive productivity and increase quality control for food service companies.

Mark’s career includes 21 years with East Balt Bakeries, a Chicago-based wholesale bakery that supplies McDonald’s worldwide, as well as Burger King, and Yum Brands. Mark served as executive vice president of global operations and also held several operational leadership positions around the globe including the U.S., Europe, China/Asia-Pacific, and Africa.

“Mark makes the Doran development team even stronger,” says Doran CEO Mark Podl. “He has a deep understanding of operations and in implementing supply chain management strategies that deliver sustained revenue and profit growth through equipment upgrades, as well as through market expansion.”

Mark joins Jeff Heath, vice president of business development – Western region, and Peter Siegrist, vice president of business development – East region, in supporting Doran’s national dealer network.

In addition to his experience at East Balt, Mark also has served as a regional operations director for OTECH Corporation, a thermoplastic and vinyl manufacturer for the construction, agriculture and automotive markets; and as an Executive Sales Leader for industrial equipment and supplies provider Loeb Equipment.

Mark holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Operational Management from DePaul University.
