PSSI has announced the appointment of Monty Christenberry to its senior leadership team as its new senior vice president, Central Region. Christenberry will oversee the company’s partnerships and operational initiatives with food processors across the Central Region, including Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, parts of Kansas, and the Gulf Coast Southwest and Southcentral Divisions.

“Monty has an engaging leadership style that has been instrumental in building our business and our internal culture at PSSI,” said Dan Taft, president and CEO of PSSI. “He is passionate about the advancement of food safety and we are happy to have him as part of our senior team to continue expanding our partnerships across the Central Region.”

With more than 25 years experience, Christenberry’s entire career has been dedicated to food safety and sanitation. He started with PSSI as an area manager in 2003 and worked his way up into leadership, most recently serving as the vice president of operations for PSSI. Christenberry led the ‘Family – Team – Customer’ mantra in the South Central division that drove the highest employee and manager morale across the company. The mantra has since been adopted throughout PSSI and has had an extremely positive impact on its business and partnerships.

Prior to PSSI, he spent more than 13 years with Tyson Foods in various locations and positions across the U.S.

“I am proud to work for an organization that prioritizes its people and culture,” said Christenberry. “We have an outstanding team of the industry’s most talented and dedicated people and I am honored to help support and lead them to continue building on our success.”
