Palsgaard expands production to Brazil
The company will now make its cake emulsifiers in both Latin America and Denmark.

Palsgaard has begun manufacturing its Emulpals powdered cake emulsifiers in Brazil, expanding production beyond Denmark to meet growing global and regional demand.
Emulpals is a plant-based, clean-label emulsifier range used in bakery premixes to support aeration, softness, and production efficiency. The products also enable manufacturers to replace saturated or trans fats with unsaturated liquid oils.
The new production site in Brazil adheres to Palsgaard’s global quality and functionality standards and includes formulations tailored to the needs of Brazilian and Latin American markets. The expansion is expected to improve supply chain reliability and reduce freight costs for customers across the Americas.
“Our Emulpals emulsifiers have proven popular with cake mix manufacturers worldwide over the last four decades,” says Miguel Hidalgo, CEO of Palsgaard Brazil. “We are now producing these whipping agents locally and distributing them throughout the region.”
Emulpals can be used in a wide range of cake applications by adjusting dosage and recipe components. Palsgaard Brazil offers technical support through its application center, helping manufacturers develop products with varied crumb structures, densities, and ingredient profiles.
“Palsgaard Brazil is well-positioned to support manufacturers in meeting diverse consumer preferences,” says Hidalgo. “Our team collaborates with innovation centers in Denmark, Mexico, Singapore, China, India, and Türkiye to adapt global trends to local markets.”
