The Wright Group received FSSC 22000 certification.

The Wright Group, Crowley, La., received FSSC/ISO 22000 certification, which was developed for the food safety systems of food manufacturers that process or manufacture animal products, perishable vegetable items, products with a long shelf life and (other) food ingredients such as additives, vitamins and bio-cultures.

“Gaining FSSC 22000 certification underlines The Wright Group’s …commitment to food safety and the highest standards of quality, sustainability and transparency in the industry today,” says Sam Wright, president and CEO. “Customers around the world are more sensitive than ever to these issues in the wake of several adulteration scandals in recent years, and it has always been at the root of our founding philosophy to give the customer what he or she demands.”

The company began developing innovative rinse-resistant grain premixes for the rice industry more than 50 years ago, and has been expanding its services and developing breakthroughs in enrichment and fortification ever since. Today, the company supplies custom premixes, enrichments and microencapsulation/granulations to a large group of blue chip clients for a wide range of end-market applications in the functional food, beverage and supplement industries.

Its certifications include FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, Circle U Kosher, Halal, cGMP and GMA-safe.  The Wright Group also has separate allergen processing facilities and adheres to strict HACCP, ISO, food safety, GMO-free and FDA-bioterrorism programs.
