The Markel Bakery Group, a subsidiary of Markel Ventures Inc., has appointed Scott Bieker sales director for Tromp Group Americas. He will be responsible for introducing Tromp Group bakery equipment to specialty bakers throughout North America as well as for supporting existing customers across the Markel Bakery Group companies—AMF Bakery Systems in Richmond, VA; Reading Bakery Systems in Robesonia, PA; and Tromp Group in the Netherlands.

Bieker brings to Tromp 25 years of baking industry leadership and experience from Danisco, AIB, Nonni’s and Earthgrains, where he began his career as a baker. He will be based out of the AMF Bakery Systems' headquarters in Richmond.
