Krispy Kreme returns to Chicagoland this November
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts announced the official return to Chicagoland with its newest location at 17815 S. Halsted Street in Homewood, IL scheduled to open in November. The Homewood location will mark the first of eight planned shops in Krispy Kreme’s reentry into the Chicagoland area after a seven year absence, with two additional shops planned for 2017.
The long-awaited sweet shop broke ground on Monday, August 15 and will feature Krispy Kreme’s new rebranded design designed to create an inviting atmosphere for customers to relax and enjoy their treats. Housing a drive-thru and Krispy Kreme’s classic welcoming atmosphere, the shop will offer premium coffee and more than a dozen one-of-a-kind doughnuts, including the signature Original Glazed Doughnut beloved by fans worldwide.
“With such an active and supportive community, Homewood offers the perfect environment for Krispy Kreme to relaunch in the area,” said Carlos Larcada, President of Chicagoland Restaurants, LLC. “We’re eager to turn the Hot Light back on in Chicagoland.”
