Product Snapshot: In an effort to create a healthier yet delicious specialty treat that is made without gluten, dairy or soy, Brooklyn Bites has announced the launch of its new Brooklyn Bites Cookie Brittle.

Each of the six flavors offers a crispy, flavor-packed punch to satisfy a sweet tooth or a crunchy craving without derailing healthy eating efforts. The line is made with gluten-free oats instead of white flour and is vegan-friendly as well. Other high-quality ingredients include coconut oil, low-glycemic coconut sugar, and almond milk; however, the company owners, mom- and daughter-duo Sara Bibi and Barbara Dayan, insist that love is the most important ingredient.

“We are excited for the launch of our new Brooklyn Bites products because they are truly a labor of love that developed out of our passion for baking combined with our desire for a delicious yet healthy sweet treat,” says Bibi, the namesake for the family’s other artisan snack company, Baked by Bibis, which started in 2015 out of the kitchen of the women’s Brooklyn, NY home.

“We just recently developed a savory line which we are confident will be just as well received as our sweet treats and can’t wait to share them with our current and new customers,” added Bibi.

The mission of both Baked by Bibis and Brooklyn Bites is to create simple and delicious products with the most honest, natural, and unrefined ingredients.

In this quest, inspired by good health and family, Bibi and Dayan hope to enlighten others about healthy yet delicious snacking. To date, Brooklyn Bites offers the only vegan, certified gluten-, dairy-, and soy-free, and certified kosher cookie brittle on the market. Brooklyn Bites current flavors include:

  • Coco Crispy Rice
  • Cinnamon Coffee Cake
  • Nutty Chocolate Sea Salt
  • Chocolate Lovers Delight
  • White Chocolate Brownie
  • Crunchy Creamy Pretzel

Each flavor is 110 calories or less per serving, and are available on the company’s website for $7.99 for a 6-ounce package. The most popular sellers are Coco Crispy Rice, Nutty Chocolate Sea Salt and Cinnamon Coffee Cake.

“What separates Brooklyn Bites from the rest is their ultra thin cookie base combined with a variety of better for you toppings ranging from dairy free white and dark chocolate, raw almonds, cinnamon, and organic brown rice crisps,” said Bibi.

Brooklyn Bites cookie brittle flavors are currently available at Wegmans, Fairway Market, Best Market, Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace, Westside Market NYC, 7-Eleven NYC, and more than 150 gourmet and specialty retailers. The cookie brittle will also soon be available at Kings Marketplace, Balducci’s, Shoprite, Giant Eagle, Market District and many more.
