The Apax team, working in partnership with Bazooka’s management team, will look to stand the company up as an independent business and build on the success of Bazooka’s global portfolio of confectionery brands.

The Wall Street Journal reports that former Disney Chief Executive Michael Eisner will be selling Bazooka Candy Brands to global buyout firm Apax Partners. 

Millennials tend to gravitate towards new or fruity gum and mints flavors, such as lemon or lemonade, whereas other age groups continue to enjoy classic mint flavors.

Jacobs most recently served as vice chair and will take over for departing NCA Board Chair Barry Rosenbaum, president of Nassau Candy Distributors.
