Hostess has initiated a voluntary recall of select lots of its Ding Dongs snack cakes due to the potential presence of mold.
An internal investigation confirmed that a mechanical issue with a piece of equipment created conditions that could support mold development prior to the product’s expiration date. The issue was limited in duration and has since been resolved.
Only specific product lots are affected, with expiration dates ranging between August 30 and September 3, 2025. The full list of affected products and their UPCs, lot codes, and expiration dates can be accessed here.
