Doritos has introduced two limited-time snack offerings and themed packaging in recognition of the anticipated fifth season of Stranger Things, which is set to premiere in November.

The first product, Doritos Collisions Stranger Pizza x Cool Ranch, combines pizza-inspired seasoning with the brand’s Cool Ranch flavor. The launch references 1980s pizza culture and the original release of Cool Ranch in 1986.

Beginning September 15, Doritos Collisions Stranger Pizza x Cool Ranch will be available nationwide in 9 oz bags for $6.29 SRP and 2.625 oz bags for $2.69 SRP.  

Also launching is Doritos Minis Glow in the Dark Spicy Sweet Chili, featuring glow-in-the-dark packaging. The product is available in 5.125 oz canisters. 

Doritos Minis Glow in the Dark Spicy Sweet Chili is currently available for $3.49 SRP.

In addition, Stranger Things-themed packaging will appear on four core Doritos flavors—Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, Sweet & Tangy BBQ, and Spicy Sweet Chili—as well as four Doritos and Cheetos Minis varieties. The collectible bags will be available nationwide while supplies last.

“Our consumers have been asking us for a pizza-flavored Doritos for some time. It’s one of our most requested flavors, and the launch of Stranger Things Season 5 felt like the right moment to deliver,” says Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing at PepsiCo Foods US. “The Doritos Collisions Stranger Pizza x Cool Ranch mashup in its retro 1980s packaging was designed to fit into 1987 Hawkins, where pizza is part of the storyline and Cool Ranch would have been a new snack on shelves.”

Additional product announcements tied to the collaboration are expected later this season.
