Givaudan begins construction on Ohio facility
The site will support the company’s Taste & Wellbeing operations.

Givaudan has begun construction on a new liquids production facility in Reading, OH. The site will support the company’s Taste & Wellbeing operations in North America and complement its existing footprint in the region.
The facility represents an initial investment of approximately $215 million, and will span 24,000 square meters within a total reserved land area of more than 100,000 square meters to allow for future expansion.
“This new facility is our largest investment in the U.S. in recent years. It reflects the importance of the market to our business and to the food and beverage industry,” says Gilles Andrier, CEO. “It supports our 2030 strategy by strengthening our operational presence and extending customer reach.”
The site is designed to accommodate future growth and will incorporate technologies and processes aimed at improving production efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Over time, the facility is expected to create more than 300 jobs across a range of roles.
“Expanding our operational capabilities enables us to better serve customers in North America,” says Antoine Khalil, president, Taste & Wellbeing. “The new facility will enhance our ability to deliver tailored solutions and support product development.”
Givaudan has also announced community and environmental initiatives tied to the project. These include support for local educational programs and the implementation of sustainable technologies, such as carbon bed filtration. The site will operate without natural gas to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Construction is underway, with completion expected in 18 months. Partial operations are scheduled to begin in 2027. Givaudan Taste & Wellbeing currently operates 17 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
