Mission MightyMe launches trail mix for toddlers
This marks the brand's first expansion beyond its flagship line of Nutty Puffs.

Mission MightyMe, the children's food company on a mission to end the food allergy epidemic with science-backed snacks, has announced the launch of its Nutty Trail Mix for toddlers and kids.
The innovation rolled out in more than 1,300 Target stores nationwide and on target.com, creating an entirely new toddler snack category and marking the brand’s first expansion beyond its flagship line of Nutty Puffs—reportedly the first pediatrician-developed, quick-dissolve puffs made with peanuts and multiple tree nuts.
Traditional trail mix has long been off-limits for toddlers due the choking hazard of whole nuts, so there’s never been a trail mix for toddlers—until now. Nutty Trail Mix is a game-changing and delicious way to keep nuts in the diet consistently as children grow, which pediatricians recommend to help prevent nut allergies from developing, the brand says.
Crafted with a blend of Mission MightyMe’s signature, quick-dissolve Nutty Puffs, combined with real freeze-dried fruit, and organic yogurt melts, it’s a trail mix toddlers and big kids can enjoy and an easy way to keep nuts in the rotation consistently, the brand suggests.
“As our tiniest customers age up, we’re growing with them," says Catherine Mitchell Jaxon, mom of three and co-founder of Mission MightyMe. “Kids and parents want variety, and our Nutty Trail Mixes give them a new and delicious way to keep nuts in the diet regularly as they grow. It also helps support diet diversity and adventurous snacking, because we believe snack time should be both functional and fun.”
The mix's flavors include:
- Mixed Nut Butter Cinna-Berry Banana - Mixed Nut Butter Nutty Puffs (more than 50% nuts–almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts and peanuts) paired with freeze dried bananas and organic berry melts.
- Organic Peanut Butter Strawberry - Organic Peanut Butter Nutty Puffs (more than 50% peanuts) paired with organic freeze-dried strawberries and organic strawberry banana melts.
All Mission MightyMe products, including Nutty Trail Mix, have been awarded the Clean Label Project Purity Award, which tests for over 200 contaminants, including heavy metals and toxins. The brand’s Mixed Nut Butter Nutty Puffs have also won the 2025 Good Housekeeping Best Baby & Kids Snack Award.
This is the brand’s first expansion beyond Nutty Puffs, which come in four flavors that are all more than 50% nuts plus superfood sorghum. Since its 2020 launch, the company has doubled revenue each year, it says, expanded retail distribution to more than 3,000 stores in all 50 states, and now reaches customers in more than 180 countries globally through e-commerce.
“Target was our very first retail partner when launching our groundbreaking Nutty Puffs, and we’re so excited to introduce yet another entirely new innovation together that parents and kids will love,” says J.J. Jaxon, co-founder of Mission MightyMe. “Our incredible team has created a product that simply didn’t exist before. We are proud to bring the joy and goodness of a trail mix in a toddler-friendly form to children and families everywhere.”
Nutty Trail Mix will retail for $5.99 per pouch at Target and is also available online at missionmightyme.com ($29.95/5-pk). The brand plans to expand Nutty Trail Mix to additional retailers later this year.
