Vilore Foods adds Kettle Cooked Plantain Chips to portfolio
The snack is gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO.

Vilore Foods, a brand builder and distributor of Hispanic food and beverage products, announced the expansion of its Totis portfolio with the launch of Kettle Cooked Plantain Chips, now available for nationwide rollout to retail partners. The new product line is designed to help retailers capitalize on growing demand for globally-inspired flavors and better-for-you salty snacks, the company says.
As consumers increasingly seek alternatives to traditional potato chips, plantain-based snacks are reportedly gaining traction for their dietary benefits and cultural relevance. Totis Kettle Cooked Plantain Chips aim to deliver on both, offering a gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO option to drive growth within the salty snacks category.
“Consumers are increasingly exploring Hispanic flavors, and this product creates an accessible entry point within a familiar snacking format,” says Edgar R. Vargas, growth director at Vilore Foods. “For retailers, it’s an opportunity to introduce something differentiated that can drive trial, while expanding the overall reach of the snack set.”
Available in Chile Lime, Cinnamon Churro, and Sea Salt, the flavors tap into trends including bold and savory, sweet and indulgent, and simple and classic, enabling retailers to appeal to a wide range of snacking preferences, the company notes.
Totis Plantain Chips are available for grocery, mass, and specialty retail partners through Vilore Foods’ national distribution network. Contact sales@vilore.com to learn more.
