Loacker to host 'Great Wafer Bake-Off Showdown'
SF&WB Chief Editor Jenni Spinner will judge the faceoff between two celebrity chefs.
Loacker will host the “Great Wafer Bake-Off Showdown: Innovation, Influence & Retail Collaboration” at the Sweets & Snacks Expo on Tuesday, May 19, at 3:00 pm on the Blue Stage at booth 5776. The event is open to Sweets & Snacks Expo attendees and media.
The live bake-off competition will feature celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis facing off against creator Justine Doiron as they partner with leading retailers to create original wafer-inspired snacks using Loacker products in front of attendees on the show floor.
Designed as a high-energy and highly visual event, the showdown will spotlight innovation in snacking, retail collaboration, and creator influence within the confectionery and snack industries.
Loacker will donate $10,000 to the winning team’s charity of choice, and the competition will be judged by Executive Chairman Ulrich Zuenelli, Loacker USA President TJ Rooney, and Jenni Spinner, our editor-in-chief of Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery.
