Ore-Ida listens to consumers, brings back Crispers
After years of requests from shoppers, the French fries are finally back in stores.

Just in time for National French Fry Day on July 10, Kraft-Heinz's Ore-Ida brand has rereleased its Crispers French fries. Following years of requests (including a Change.org petition dedicated to bringing them back), the brand listened to shoppers and is permanently returning the product to freezer aisles nationwide.
"Ever since my childhood, the unique taste and texture of Ore-Ida Crispers, later renamed Golden Crispers, have been synonymous with comfort, nostalgia, and excellence in my kitchen," writes the Change.org author. "They weren't just my personal favorite French fries; they were a frozen legend that held special memories for countless households. No other French fry could replicate their distinct savor, and their ability to be perfectly crispy right out of the oven—or, in recent years, the air fryer—made them unparalleled. After nearly half a century, these fries have remained a staple on my grocery list, and I believe many share the same sentiments of love and longing for these one of a kind French fries."
According to Ore-Ida, Crispers feature a signature crispy exterior and fluffy interior, offering a unique texture experience that’s unlike any other Ore-Ida fry while still delivering the brand’s taste. The fries are back for good as a permanent addition to the Ore-Ida portfolio, marking another step in the broader pipeline of playful potato innovation to come, the brand adds.
As the inventor of Tater Tots, with more than 70 years of potato expertise, Ore-Ida continues to aim to define the category through quality and innovation. The return of Crispers builds on the brand’s “Ore-Ida or Nothing” platform, reinforcing that when it comes to potatoes, the original still leads, no matter the shape, the brand notes.
