Ruiz Foods taps Jared Vitemb as SVP, general counsel

The new hire reportedly brings years of legal experience to the role.

Ruiz Food Products, Inc., a U.S. Mexican frozen food manufacturer, announced the appointment of Jared Vitemb as senior vice president, general counsel. Vitemb joins Ruiz Foods from Farmer Brothers Co., a beverage and coffee company, where he served as VP, general counsel, chief compliance officer, and corporate secretary. In his previous role, his responsibilities included overseeing the company’s legal, communications, risk/safety, compliance, and human resources functions.

Vitemb reportedly has extensive experience as a business attorney in both large law firms and in-house roles, with experience advising corporate boards and management teams on a wide array of legal matters.

In his role at Ruiz Foods, he will lead the companywide legal function and serve as the primary legal advisor to the CEO, board of directors, and executive leadership team. Partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel, he will oversee regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and corporate governance. His oversight will also span contract negotiations, litigation management, and the protection of the company's intellectual property and brand portfolio.

Vitemb holds a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from the University of Texas.
