Horizon, a national organic dairy brand based in Broomfield, Colo., launched a new line of snack products in April. Horizon Snack Crackers, Sandwich Crackers and Snack Grahams mark the brand’s continued evolution outside of the dairy case.

“Horizon snack products are a perfect choice for busy families looking for great tasting snacks made with the goodness of organic ingredients,” says Mike Ferry, president. “We are always looking for new ways to introduce consumers to the benefits of organic, and with these new options, Horizon now offers more organic products to consumers than ever before.”

The new snack line comprises both organic and made-with-organic options. The former are Horizon Organic Sandwich Crackers-Cheddar and Horizon Organic Sandwich Crackers-Peanut Butter. The latter are Horizon Snack Crackers-Cheddar, Horizon Snack Crackers-Original, Horizon Snack Grahams-Honey, Horizon Snack Grahams-Cinnamon and Horizon Snack Grahams-Chocolate.

All of the products are regulated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Organic Program, and their labels designate which are organic and which are made with organic ingredients. The organic varieties carry the USDA Organic Seal and contain at least 95% certified organic ingredients, while those made with organic products contain at least 70% certified organic ingredients.

All Horizon snack products are free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, colors and preservatives and made with nongenetically-modified ingredients. Additionally, Horizon Cheddar Snack Crackers and Cheddar Sandwich Crackers are made with real organic cheddar cheese, and all Horizon snack products are made with USDA-certified organic wheat flour.
