The grand opening took place on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Puratos moved its Southeast headquarters from its former location in Miami to a brand new facility in order to better serve the expanding Southeast region and its Caribbean customers. The investment of $1.5M includes offices, a new warehouse with double its former capacity and a state-of-the-art, 3,000 square foot Innovation Center.

The festivities began with a local Latin dance group that led Puratos customers and attendees into a tour of the facility. The tour began with an introduction into Taste Tomorrow, Puratos’ proprietary research to better understand the demands of today’s consumers. From there, guests were led into the Innovation Center, where INC Supervisor & Technical Advisor, Richard Gersper, presented Puratos products from bakery, patisserie, and chocolate. Guests then finished their tour in our new temperature controlled warehouse, where Daniel Malcorps (Puratos Group CEO), Karel Zimmermann (president of the Puratos Corporation, North America), Francis D’Hoore (vice president of regional accounts & distribution), Pieter Trap (general manager of the Southeast region) and Pat Pilla (director of Caribbean exports) inaugurated the new building with a ribbon cutting.

Puratos' mission is to help its customers become even more successful with their business as we continue our rapid regional expansion in the U.S. With this new Innovation Center, Puratos wants to inspire its customers with better ideas based on consumer expectations, support them in the development of their products and help them solve technical challenges. This is one of many investments Puratos Corporation is making nationwide.
