Swiss cocoa and chocolate processor Barry Callebaut will invest $18 million in its Singapore production facility to help meet the growing demand for chocolate in Asia.

Swiss chocolate producer Barry Callebaut has expanded its operations in Indonesia with the grand opening of its first chocolate factory in the country.

Barry Callebaut will acquire the Halle, Belgium, chocolate production facility belonging to Mondelez to expand its production capabilities. The two companies will enter into a long-term agreement for the supply of an additional 30,000 tonnes of liquid chocolate per year.
