Golden Waffles has officially opened its new headquarters and innovation center at 1 Braxton Way in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, just ahead of National Waffle Day on August 24. The nearly 18,000-square-foot facility expands the company’s R&D capabilities, strengthens operations, and deepens its footprint in Pennsylvania’s food sector.
Founded in 1937 and headquartered in Glen Mills since 2014, the company supplies a turnkey solution—including U.S.-made waffle irons, mixes, syrups, toppings, and in-house customer service—to more than 50,000 customer locations across 60+ countries.
The new headquarters features a demonstration kitchen, dedicated R&D lab for irons and mixes, and a training academy for culinary teams and kitchen operators. Upgraded AV technology enables virtual product cuttings, while expanded conference rooms and employee spaces support collaboration and creativity. The facility also introduces flexible workspaces to accelerate concept development and allows Golden Waffles to test and showcase new ideas in real time.
The investment was made possible by Arbor Investments, which acquired Golden Waffles in 2023. “Golden Waffles has long been a hidden gem in foodservice, powering thousands of restaurant and hotel menus by providing unmatched quality and service to operators,” says George Russell, principal at Arbor Investments. “This new headquarters embodies the commitment to innovation, customer service and consumer experience that defines Golden Waffles. It’s a place built for momentum; a space where ideas can scale faster, teams can collaborate more deeply, and the company can continue raising the bar on what a fresh-baked waffle experience can and should be.”
Golden Waffles, formerly Golden Malted, rebranded on last year’s National Waffle Day to reflect its focus on fresh-baked waffle solutions. The new headquarters is a continuation of that transformation, designed to drive speed, creativity and collaboration across departments.
“This new HQ is more than just a building—it’s a catalyst,” said Mike DiBeneditto, CEO of Golden Waffles. “Golden Waffles is growing fast, waffles are booming across every menu category, and we’re investing right here in Greater Philadelphia to fuel that momentum.”
The timing aligns with a nationwide waffle resurgence, as waffles appear across formats from QSRs and juice bars to late-night and grab-and-go. As DiBeneditto explains: “The renewed appetite is driven by more than just flavor and versatility. Waffle-omics is simple. For operators, waffles are high-margin with low lift. For guests, they’re crave-able and comforting. Everyone wins.”
