Tandem Foods has started production on the first manufacturing line at its new facility in Cypress, CA. The site represents the company’s largest investment to date and supports its long-term strategic growth plan.
The initial line is dedicated to wafer bar production, increasing Tandem Foods’ capacity in this segment by more than 150%. With this expansion, the company becomes the largest wafer manufacturer in the U.S.
The new line uses eco-efficient baking technology designed to reduce gas consumption and emissions. The system captures and reuses heat during the baking process to improve energy efficiency.
The Cypress facility includes space for future manufacturing lines to support additional growth. The first line will serve both existing partners and new business, with a focus on supply chain resilience and responsiveness.
“This investment is a direct response to the sustained growth of our strategic partners and the exciting pipeline of new business we’re developing,” says Michael Buick, CEO of Tandem Foods. “Bringing this facility online enhances our ability to serve existing customers and provides the flexibility to scale with new opportunities.”
Tandem Foods continues to prioritize U.S.-based manufacturing and aims to deliver consistent quality and operational reliability at scale.
