ADM opens quality testing lab
The Illinois facility currently supports 31 ADM milling sites across North America.

ADM has opened its Central Milling Laboratory at the ADM Specialty Manufacturing Facility in Decatur, IL. The lab is equipped with advanced testing technologies and analytical tools to evaluate wheat performance in real-world applications.
Each day, the lab mills, analyzes, and bakes approximately 30 loaves of bread to assess flour functionality and support wheat procurement decisions. Located near ADM’s North American headquarters, the facility enables closer collaboration with ADM’s research and development teams and its Creation, Design, and Development facilities.
The lab currently supports 31 ADM milling sites across North America.
“We are very excited because this new lab shows our commitment to growing our quality testing capabilities, and it serves as a continued investment in the Decatur community,” says Tedd Kruse, president, milling and baking solutions at ADM. “This facility strengthens our ability to collaborate with customers to meet evolving market needs, and it will accelerate innovation across our milling network. The lab is a great example of ADM’s mission of unlocking the power of nature to enrich the quality of life.”
