Snack brand RXBar is expanding beyond the bar with an all-new innovation: RXBar Protein Energy Bites. Designed for life on the go, the multi-layer snacks deliver the brand’s "No B.S." promise in a new format created to meet an emerging consumer need for smaller, texture-rich energy snacks made with simple ingredients, the brand says.

While “bites” currently account for just 1% of the protein and wellness snack category, RXBar says there’s a consumer desire for convenient, nutrient-dense snacks that provide energy without added sugar or fillers. The new Energy Bites are made with just a handful of recognizable ingredients, including peanut butter, egg whites, dates, and apples, offering 8-10 g of protein per serving.

Each pouch contains two bites, available in Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter and Strawberry Peanut Butter. The product begins hitting shelves at select retailers this week, and nationwide in December.
