Hero Bread introduces burrito-size tortillas
The bakery item is used at more than 215 foodservice locations.

Hero Bread, the food innovation company on a journey to help make humans healthier and happier by evolving the joyful experience of bread and baked goods, it says, has introduced a new tortilla size with the launch of Hero Tortillas Burrito. The launch brings Hero Bread's better-for-you approach to the burrito-sized format its consumers have been asking for.
Born out of its popularity across more than 215 locations of Just Salad, Crisp & Green, Freebirds World Burrito, and Mad Greens, Hero Tortillas Burrito is now available for consumers to enjoy at home for the first time. According to the company, the tortilla is made with high-quality ingredients—including resistant wheat starch, flaxseed, fava bean protein, and heart-healthy olive oil—and each 10.5" tortilla delivers 2 g net carbs, 0 g sugar, 26 g fiber, and 11 g protein.
"Hero fans have been asking for a larger tortilla to hold all the goodness of a homemade burrito, and our bakers have delivered," notes YuChiang Cheng, CEO, Hero Bread. "Today's shoppers don't want to give up burritos and wraps, they just want an option with exceptional taste, strong nutritionals, and clean ingredients. Our new Burrito Sized Tortillas bring all of that in a format that unlocks entirely new meal occasions at home, and we're excited to make them available online now and at retail beginning in May."
The new Hero Tortillas Burrito retails for $29.99 for a 4-pack bundle (16 tortillas total) exclusively online at hero.co, with retail availability coming soon.
