Golden Cannoli appoints Chester A. Baker as CEO
The hire brings more than 35 years of global leadership experience to the role.

Golden Cannoli, a third-generation family-owned baked goods business in cannoli shells, fillings, and cannoli-based snack products, announced the appointment of Chet Baker as chief executive officer.
Golden Cannoli has been a trusted name in the cannoli category for more than 55 years, the company says. Founded by cousins Francesco Bono and Angelo Bresciani, the company has reportedly grown from a local bakery into the largest producer of cannoli shells and fillings in the U.S., serving bakery, foodservice, and retail customers nationwide.
Golden Cannoli is now led by second-generation family members Valerie Bono-Bunker, Maria Malloy, Eric Bresciani, and Edwin Bresciani, who have significantly expanded the company’s business, manufacturing capabilities, and product portfolio over the past two and a half decades, the brand notes.
With more than 35 years of global leadership experience, Baker has built and scaled businesses across food, nutrition, healthcare, and consumer products. He began his career at Procter & Gamble and held senior leadership roles at Ocean Spray Cranberries and Abbott Laboratories, leading international businesses, global innovation, and major growth initiatives before transitioning more recently to business and partnership development with early-stage ventures.
“We are excited to welcome Chet to Golden Cannoli,” says the Bono and Bresciani families. “He brings a wealth of experience in building and scaling businesses, with a strong track record of driving growth, operational excellence, and innovation. His leadership style and strategic vision make him a natural fit as we expand our product offerings and strengthen our position while honoring everything that got us here. As a family-founded, third-generation company rooted in tradition, quality, and a passion for what we do, we’re excited to have Chet join at a time of strong momentum as we continue to evolve, innovate, and serve our customers in new ways.”
“I’m honored to join Golden Cannoli and to become part of a family business with such a rich history and strong values," says Baker. "The passion and pride behind this company are evident in everything it does. I’m excited to work alongside the owners and team to build on that legacy and create the next chapter of growth together.”
