Hostess Sweetens the Holidays with the Donettes "Name the Penguins" Contest
Hostess Brands invites fans across the country to get creative with the Donettes "Name the Penguins" contest for a chance to win a grand prize of $2,500 as well as free Donettes for a year.
Hostess Brands, Inc., Irving, Texas, invites fans across the country to get creative with the Donettes "Name the Penguins" contest for a chance to win a grand prize of $2,500 as well as free Donettes for a year.
From Nov. 22-Dec. 11, Hostess is asking consumers to visit its Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/Hostess, and suggest names for the four penguins on the seasonal new Donettes packaging. A different penguin is featured on each of the four Donettes varieties: Powdered, Frosted, new Frosted Devil's Food and limited-edition holiday Gingerbread Spice.
Hostess will then announce five finalists. And, from Dec. 17-Dec. 31, consumers will have the opportunity to vote on Facebook for their favorite names from that group of finalists. Once the votes are tallied, the grand prize winner will receive a $2,500 cash gift card and free Donettes for a year.
"We are delighted to ring in the holidays with an exciting opportunity for our fans to express their creativity. Hopefully this will bring some Hostess holiday cheer not only to our finalists, but to everyone who participates," says Amy Clark, director of snack marketing for Hostess.
Along with the penguins on the seasonal packages of Hostess multi-pack Chocolate CupCakes and Twinkies will also be dressed up for the holidays. Hostess mascots Curly and Twinkie the Kid will be featured on the packaging, all bundled up for winter.
