This week's Fun Friday kicks off with a new Trolli product, but surprisingly, it's not a gummy: frozen Trolli Gummi Pops.
Wells Enterprises, in collaboration with Ferrara Candy Company and Trolli, is breaking innovation boundaries once again by launching new frozen Trolli Gummi Pops. The sour gummy brand, known for its dual neon colors, bold flavors, and soft and chewy texture, has invaded freezer aisles nationwide with these frozen treats.
Trolli Gummi Pops offer the brand's signature soft and chewy gummy texture in a one-of-a-kind frozen treat, available in two unique sour flavor combinations. Each pop features dual-tone neon colors and unique two-in-one flavor combinations, like Cherry Lemon and Grape Strawberry, delivering the unique sensory experience Trolli lovers crave.
The launch comes on the heels of a major milestone for the brand—Trolli Gummi Pop now holds both the #1 and #2 top-selling new SKUs in the frozen handheld treats segment, cementing its status as one of the most disruptive forces in the category.
Trolli Gummi Pops are available in two formats: multi-pack boxes containing 10 Trolli Gummi Pops (SRP $5.99) and one-count Trolli Gummi Pops (SRP $2.99). They can be found in the frozen treat section at major retailers nationwide, including Walmart, grocery chains, and convenience stores like 7-Eleven. Distribution will continue to expand throughout April and beyond.
Hershey to unwrap founder's story in upcoming major motion picture, Hershey
Hershey, a major motion picture of chocolate pioneer Milton Hershey and his beloved wife Catherine ("Kitty") is officially set for production beginning in May 2025. Millions worldwide instantly recognize the distinctive wrapped Hershey's bar, but few know the extraordinary human story behind it. A must-see movie for chocolate-lovers and fans alike, this movie reveals how a man who failed in business multiple times before creating an iconic chocolate empire chose to channel his success into a legacy of education and community that continues to transform lives today. A Dandelion Media production in partnership with the Hershey Entities and in association with Aloe Entertainment, Peachtree Group, and RCM3 with UTA Independent Film Group will be representing worldwide rights. The Hershey movie is set to release in 2026, aligning with America's 250th anniversary.
Directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls, Spiderwick Chronicles, Mr. Popper's Penguins), Finn Wittrock (The Big Short, Don't Move, American Horror Story), and Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus, True Detective, San Andreas) will star as Milton and Catherine Hershey; a duo that was chosen for their cross-generational appeal. Hershey explores the origins of the iconic chocolate empire and the ingredients that have achieved lasting cultural significance.
Milton Hershey's legacy extends far beyond the beloved chocolate products known worldwide. In Hershey, PA, five major entities—The Hershey Company, Milton Hershey School, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, The M.S. Hershey Foundation, and Hershey Trust Company—continue to honor his vision. For the movie, these five entities collaborated with Dandelion Media, to ensure an authentic portrayal of Milton's life. From the project's inception, the filmmakers were granted unprecedented access to the company's archives and the expertise of Hershey historians.

It's Easter weekend, so it's time to paint ... potatoes?
Why put all your eggs in one basket? With food prices rising, families are embracing a playful, budget-friendly tradition—Easter potatoes!
Potatoes USA is celebrating the growing Easter trend by painting, crafting, and cooking potatoes, proving that creativity and tradition go hand in hand. Durable, versatile, and already a pantry staple, potatoes make the perfect blank canvas for Easter fun.
Potatoes decorated with safe-for-consumption materials can be enjoyed as a delicious treat once the artwork is complete. No special dyes are needed—paint, markers, stickers, and food coloring are all great options for decorating your Easter potatoes.
For your potato crafting time, it helps to:
- Cover the workspace with newspapers or plastic tablecloths to minimize cleanup.
- Consider using gloves to keep little hands clean from food coloring or paint.
For gold-star level results:
- Food coloring makes a great, edible dye; paint the coloring directly onto the potato for the most vibrant color.
- To prevent the color from rubbing off and to maintain the potatoes as purely decorative items, apply a coat of hairspray to seal the color.
For paint-based projects:
- Use a white primer coat to make the colors pop!
- Look for non-toxic, washable paints.
Parents can also cut potatoes in half to create Easter stamps. Once halved, children can use a pen or marker to draw a shape or design on the potato's flat edge. Adults can carefully cut around the drawing using a carving knife, leaving the raised shape on the potato. After the adults have finished carving, the little artist can paint the potato stamps and use their creations to make Easter-themed paintings on paper.
Instacart reveals Americans' most and least favorite foods for Easter and Passover
As spring kicks into high gear, and social gatherings for Passover (April 12-20) and Easter (April 20) are almost upon us, Instacart has unearthed some "egg-citing" data, showcasing the food, candy and shopping items bringing joy to consumers this season ... along with some holiday staples that might be losing their charm.
Combining Instacart purchase data with survey insights from The Harris Poll, Instacart's 2025 Easter and Passover Report includes findings like:
- Easter candy faves: Chocolate seems to be a must-have for Easter candy, as Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs were the most purchased candies during Easter weekend 2024.
- Lamb’s popularity–and polarizing taste: Leg and Rack of Lamb surged in popularity according to Instacart data, with customers 5.5x and 4.5x more likely to purchase them around these holidays, respectively. Yet, Instacart's survey found that 35% of Americans ranked Roast Lamb as one of their least favorite dishes for Easter or Passover.
- Gefilte fish divides consumers: While Instacart purchases for gefilte fish were 13.2x higher on April 22, 2024 versus the annual average, 44% of survey respondents still ranked it among their least favorite dishes for Easter or Passover.
Louis Vuitton debuts Edible Egg Bag
In case you need an Easter-themed purse for this weekend: Hypebeast.com has posted an edible Louis Vuitton egg bag, made out of chocolate:
"This Easter, Louis Vuitton presents a decadent collection of chocolates created in collaboration with celebrated pastry chef Maxime Frédéric. At the center of this luxurious offering is the show-stopping Chocolate Egg Bag—an edible reinterpretation of the Maison’s iconic Egg Bag, originally designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for the Spring/Summer 2019 women’s collection.
A master of refined confectionery, Frédéric brings the Egg Bag’s futuristic silhouette to life through the artistry of chocolate. The sculptural shell is crafted from 70% dark chocolate, offering a deep, intense flavor profile, while the handles, strap, and zipper pulls are recreated in 40% milk chocolate, faithfully mirroring the bag’s leather detailing. The surface is embossed with Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship and an elevated attention to detail rarely seen in edible design. Inside the chocolate bag lies a 40% milk chocolate bar with a creamy hazelnut gianduja center, adding an unexpected richness and a pleasing textural contrast to the piece," the site says.
The bag weighs approximately 2.2 pounds and is priced at €225 EUR (about $245 USD). It's available in select cities, including Paris, New York, Singapore, and Shanghai. For more details, see Louis Vuitton's website.
