A new skills competition, the Panettone World Cup, will be making its debut at the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) this year. The Americas Selection stage of the contest is slated during the exposition, taking place in Las Vegas September 13‒17.
Pastry chefs from anywhere throughout the western hemisphere (except Peru and Brazil, countries that hold their own competitions) are eligible to participate. The IBIE contest will determine who advances to the World Final in Milan, Italy in November 2026 to vie for the global grand championship title.
To enter the Panettone World Cup Americas Selection, competitors must be registered for IBIE 2025 and pay a separate entry fee. Entrants are welcome to enter both the traditional and chocolate categories; however, if selected for both, they must choose only one to compete in. See the IBIE site for complete contest information and to sign up.
