Kellanova introduces Pop-Tarts Protein
The pastries come in three flavors and deliver 10 g of protein per serving.

Kellaonva is launching Pop-Tarts Protein, a new line of toaster pastries formulated to deliver 10 g of protein per serving. The launch responds to increased demand for protein-rich snack options, with 61% of snackers seeking protein offerings, according to recent consumer data.
Pop-Tarts will also reintroduce its Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough toaster pastry this November, following years of consumer requests. The flavor features chocolate chip cookie-inspired filling inside a golden crust, topped with chocolate icing.
The new Pop-Tarts Protein will be available in three varieties:
- Slammin' Strawberry: Tart strawberry filling, golden crust, and frosting with rainbow sprinkles.
- Boostin' Brown Sugar Cinnamon: Brown sugar cinnamon filling with a golden-brown crust and sweet frosting.
- Bumpin' Blueberry: Blueberry filling with icing and crunchy sprinkles.
“Our consumers continue to show strong preferences for specific flavors, which is why Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is returning,” says Leslie Serro, vice president of marketing for Pop-Tarts. “At the same time, we’re introducing Pop-Tarts Protein to meet evolving snacking needs, offering 10 g of protein per serving.”
Both Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Pop-Tarts Protein varieties will be available nationwide beginning November 2025.
