Jeffery Smith of Peterbrooke Chocolatier from Jacksonville, FL continues his term as the 2023–2025 president of the board of directors.

The Grand Confection Award is a new opportunity for RCI members to highlight chocolates and confections and be judged anonymously based on an excellence criteria during RCI's Annual Convention & Industry Expo.

RCI's 2024 Annual Convention & Industry Expo will take place June 17–21 at the Buffalo Convention Center in Buffalo, New York.

Retail Confectioners International (RCI) recently opened registration for its Caramels, Toffees, & Brittles Course, to be held February 21–23, 2023 at Las Olas Confections & Snacks in Orlando.

RCI said it chose Milwaukee for the June event for its proximity to a concentrated group of candy makers and suppliers.

RCI has also named Lindsey Greer of Dietsch Brothers in Findlay, Ohio as the recipient of the Dennis R. Witzel Chocolate Boot Camp Scholarship.
